We have completed 25 years of working in the development sector. In 1995, we came as a registered organization in India under The Companies Act, 1956 (Under Section 25) as a non-profit organization.
TDIF works primarily in sectoral areas such as Sustainability and Social Business, Population, Labour and Livelihood, Inclusion, Gender, Education and Skill Development. TDIF specializes in Policy Analysis, Research and Survey, Strategy Building, Technical Assistance, Planning and Implementation, Capacity Building and Communication, Service Delivery, Monitoring & Evaluation, Documentation and Compliance Reports.
Over the last two decades, TDIF has been working with a wide range of partner and donors. It has enabled us to provide a wide cutting-edge solutions and strategic direction in the areas we work in. Our donors and partners include grassroots institutions, INGOs, bilateral and multilateral organizations, corporates as well as States and Central Governments. Some of our main clients are UNICEF, TLE, Save the Children Fund, BMTPC, COVA, Oxfam, Hivos, UPSLRP, and Others.
We are currently looking for a ‘Consultant Coordinator– Research and Programme Implementation’ to carry out the projects in the field of social development of communities towards their upliftment with excellent community engagement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Networking, building, generating new business leads and building and maintaining strong, collaborative client and donor relationships.
- Write proposals and concept notes, towards proactive business development activities
- Support in project planning and project management: design, plan and manage activities towards effective and timely delivery of projects
- Maintain high standards of quality in project outputs and deliverables
- Take ownership of project goals, milestones and content; lead in delivery of the same according to client satisfaction/expectations and internal and contract requirements.
- Assessing clients’ needs and goals, to ensure that client needs are met, maintaining continuous interactions with clients and stakeholders
- Provide regular updates and timely information to senior Taru staff on progress on projects and assignments
- Travel to field sites to collect or lead in field implementation. Ensure community outreach, targeting specific community groups and issues to address by actively engaging with them.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research methodologies as per the project specifications including but not limited to desktop research, questionnaires, surveys, polls, interviews etc. to gather and analyze data, develop assessment and evaluation tools
- Facilitating focus group discussions, and engaging in direct conversations with community members, identify specific areas where intervention is needed
- Develop and implement strategies, evaluate the existing community initiatives and programs and channel them for the betterment of the community
- Writing reports and delivering presentations as when as required, preparing progress reports, etc.
- Goal setting for improvement and response to concerned areas by empowerment and active participation
- Establish links with other groups and government and private agencies, coordinate with interested groups and individuals to set up new services, and raising awareness on the issues to address
- Plan, conduct and coordinate meetings and events, engaging in public campaigns to educate the community
- Monitoring project completion, impact, and evaluating the impact of programs and initiatives, regularly meeting the community members to gain insight into their issues and concerns
- Ensure community engagement while prioritizing environmental and sustainability initiatives
- Provide technical and management support/inputs to the projects as assigned by the organization
- Support in knowledge management through ideation and conceptualization of new ideas, writing blogs, articles, research papers/white papers on key issues and topics
Qualifications and Skillsets
- 3-5 years experience in community engagement with the ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan, and execute ideas
- Postgraduate/ Master’s in Social Work/Development Studies/Social Sciences
- Good working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Should be open to fieldwork and good at problem-solving skills
- Excellent Communication skills, and a Team player
- Fluent in spoken English and local languages with the ability to connect with the community
- Excellent writing and presentation skills— MS Word, PowerPoint Point, Excel etc., and other tools
- Aligning work style with established work culture and leadership team.
- Knowledge of presenting Statistical and Graphical Analysis of Data
- Ability to maintain quality standards
