Amhi Amchya Arogyasathi (AAAS) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to building a just and equitable society by empowering marginalized communities in Maharashtra, India. AAAS focuses on health system improvements, women’s empowerment, livelihoods, community based rehabilitation of persons with disabilities through federations and skill-based employment, and child protection and education. We operate in District of East Vidarbha, especially in Gadchiroli and surrounding areas.

We are currently implementing the “Establishing Child Protection System and Creation of Child-Friendly Tribal Ashramshalas and Hostels in the State of Maharashtra” project. This initiative aims to foster safe, supportive, and child-friendly environments within tribal ashramshalas (residential schools) and hostels. Through this project, we are enhancing child protection measures and ensuring educational and social environments that promote the well-being and development of tribal children.

1. Program Manager (No. 1)

Location: Maharashtra
Contract Type: Full-time

Key Job Roles:

  • Develop program strategies, ensure alignment with project goals, and coordinate with partners and government bodies.
  • Engage with community leaders, parents, and school authorities to create awareness about child protection measures.
  • Organize training sessions and workshops for ashramshala staff, emphasizing child-friendly practices.
  • Oversee training for staff on child protection policies, focusing on the Juvenile Justice (J.J.) Act, POCSO Act, and child rights.
  • Establish monitoring frameworks, conduct evaluations, and prepare reports to assess project effectiveness.
  • Establish functional child protection policies within all targeted ashramshalas.
  • Quarterly progress reports on project implementation.
  • Training modules and materials for child protection awareness and staff training.
  • Impact assessments and child safety audits.
  • Budget management for project activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of project activities, financial transactions, and inventory.
  • Manage and guide Ashramshala Mobilizers for smooth on-ground operations.

Eligibility Criteria – Qualification and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in child protection or community mobilization, preferably in rural or tribal areas.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.

2. Ashramshala Mobilizers (No. 8)

Location: Maharashtra
Contract Type: Full-time

Through this project, we are enhancing child protection measures and ensuring educational and social environments that promote the well-being and development of tribal children.

Key Job Roles:

  • Work directly with ashramshala staff, parents, and community members to promote child protection and safe environments for children.
  • Assist with on-ground training and awareness programs aimed at fostering child-friendly practices.
  • Conduct regular site visits and document observations to support the program’s monitoring and evaluation efforts.
  • Assist with creating safe, child-friendly spaces, as defined in the project framework.
  • Monthly reports on ashramshala activities and community interactions.
  • Support training documentation and feedback collection.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager for logistical support during events and training.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of activities and inventory.

Eligibility Criteria – Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in community mobilization or child welfare, with preference for experience in rural or tribal settings.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
