1.  Assistant Manager – Digital Literacy

Location: Odisha (Dhenkanal/Keonjhar/Keonjharmayurbhanj} or HazariBag – Jharkhand

Reports to: Project Manager

Overview: 

The Empowering Aspirational Blocks: Bridging the Digital Divide through Last-Mile Digital Literacy program aims at empowering the communities from marginalized backgrounds with enhanced digital literacy and access to Government schemes. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and monitoring the on-ground implementation of the digital literacy project. This role involves close collaboration with District and Block administration, ensuring alignment with local governance and smooth project delivery. The Assistant Manager will work closely with field teams, Digital Ambassadors, and local authorities to oversee training activities, resource management, and progress reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Manager – Digital Literacy, she/he/they will be responsible to manage a region ensuring smooth implementation of the project. Broad structure of responsibilities is as below:

  • Supervise and monitor the implementation of digital literacy training in collaboration with District and Block administration.

  • Ensure that the project’s objectives are met and that local governance guidelines are followed during implementation.

  • Act as the primary point of contact with District and Block administration, facilitating effective communication and collaboration for the project.

  • Work closely with Block Development Officers (BDOs) and other local government officials to ensure that project activities align with district and block priorities.

  • Support the administration in setting up and maintaining DRCs and e-governance services for the community.

  • Provide guidance and support to field teams – Digital Ambassadors to ensure the smooth delivery of training and outreach programs.

  • Address challenges faced by field teams and assist in improving project quality on the ground.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of all project activities, including engagement with local administration, training sessions.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the Program Manager, summarizing key achievements, challenges, and feedback from local authorities.

  • Collaborate with local government officials, NGOs, community leaders, and stakeholders to mobilize participation in the project.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital literacy training by collecting data and tracking key indicators like digital tool usage and e-governance service access.

Key Requirements:

  • Post-Graduate, or equivalent standard of education essential – ideally in rural management, international development, public policy or other social sciences

  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience

  • Understanding of the Digital Literacy landscape in India with experience in executing relevant projects.

  • Privy to writing proposals, creating strategies and engaging with potential partners

  • Good report writing skills as per internal / external requirements

  • Knowledge of project monitoring & evaluation (M&E), project-implementation-plan (PIP), impact evaluation and ToC framework’

  • Ability to translate concepts into learning outcomes.

  • Passion towards working in social sector.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

2. Project Coordinator – E-Governance Program

Location: Alluri Sitharama Raju – Andhra Pradesh, Wayanad – Kerala

Reports to: Project Manager

Overview: 

The E-Governance Program aims to fuel the Government of India’s governance system through targeted interventions on regional schemes and essential services. The project simplifies complex government processes for beneficiaries, helping them understand eligibility requirements and navigate application procedures with the assistance of trained community workers known as “Digital Ambassadors.” The program targets vulnerable populations, including those in remote and tribal areas, to ensure they receive the benefits of various government schemes and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination:

  • Close coordination with Implementation Partners to ensure smooth implementation of the project.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the E-Governance Program across designated blocks.

  • Coordinate with government bodies, community leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of the program.

  • Support the recruitment, training, and supervision of Digital Ambassadors.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations to promote the program.

    • Establish and maintain relationships with local authorities and other stakeholders to ensure support for program activities.

  • Data Management:

    • Track and monitor the progress of the program, including the number of beneficiaries reached and services provided.

    • Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program outcomes and impact.

  • Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Track and report on the progress of the program, including the number of beneficiaries, services provided, and impact metrics.

    • Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the program.

  • Program Improvement:

    • Identify challenges in program implementation and propose solutions to enhance effectiveness.

    • Contribute to the development of new strategies and initiatives to expand the reach and impact of the program.

Key Requirements: 

  • Education:

    • Master degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Development Studies, or a related field.

  • Language: English Essential and Working knowledge of PVTG language is added advantage.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in a non-profit or community development setting.

    • Experience working with government schemes and e-governance initiatives is highly desirable.

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project implementation aligns with the mission, vision, values, and policies of the Nasscom Foundation. Collaborate with national, regional teams, and service providers to effectively deliver project strategies.

  • Provide coordination and supervision at the District/block level to support the field teams.

  • Build and sustain relationships with district and regional stakeholders, collaborating with multiple agencies to meet program goals.

  • Strong understanding of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Project Implementation Plans (PIP), and Theory of Change (ToC).

  • Proven experience managing relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies.

  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and their application in digital literacy, financial inclusion, livelihoods, and entrepreneurship.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex ideas.

4. Maker Expert (Technical Mentor – Hardware & Networking)

  • Work closely with hardware vendor to ensure high quality product deliver to start-up teams.

  • Maintains constant contact with makerspace managers across India to understand operational/technical challenges and works with them to resolve

Nasscom Foundation’s ‘Skills Initiative and Entrepreneurship’ works to bridge the skilling gaps and support in building and upskilling entrepreneurship ecosystem in India towards its goals of social transformation and impact through technology. The Foundation helps the donor organizations finalize various aspects of the Skill-based CSR intervention targeted towards empowering women entrepreneurs. These include skill-need discovery and identifying gaps with women entrepreneurs that can be addressed with tech-based upskilling, course curriculum and the region of intervention. We work with training partners to plan for entrepreneurship training, upskilling and setting up SME’s/Start-up’s, targeted towards women and the marginalized. The Foundation has a strong focus to nurture entrepreneurship ecosystem in order to provide sustainable economic growth especially involving women, youth and people with disabilities. We work towards equipping beneficiaries with multiple skill sets including digital and financial with a special focus on technology. Nasscom Foundation’s ‘Skills Initiative and Entrepreneurship’ works to bridge the skilling gaps and support in building and upskilling entrepreneurship ecosystem in India towards its goals of social transformation and impact through technology. The Foundation helps the donor organizations finalize various aspects of the Skill-based CSR intervention targeted towards empowering women entrepreneurs. These include skill-need discovery and identifying gaps with women entrepreneurs that can be addressed with tech-based upskilling, course curriculum and the region of intervention. We work with training partners to plan for entrepreneurship training, upskilling and setting up SME’s/Start-up’s, targeted towards women and the marginalized. The Foundation has a strong focus to nurture entrepreneurship ecosystem in order to provide sustainable economic growth especially involving women, youth and people with disabilities. We work towards equipping beneficiaries with multiple skill sets including digital and financial with a special focus on technology.
