1. Assistant Manager / Dy. Manager – Resource Mobilisation & Donor Relations

The position is part of the Investor Relations team responsible for positioning United Way Mumbai as the philanthropy partner of choice, attracting new partnerships and building lasting relationships with investors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve the organization’s fundraising targets and assist in developing a resource mobilization strategy with quarterly implementation plans
  • To track and list CSR opportunities and potential partnerships and maintain a pipeline of potential donors
  • To collaborate with internal and external teams to develop programmes and proposals
  • To build and maintain ongoing relationships with prospective and current donors
  • To represent UWM, engage and make presentations to potential donors
  • To prepare new communication material and documentation for United Way Mumbai

2. Manager/Senior Manager – Resource Mobilisation and Donor Relations

3. Executive, Community Relations

The position is part of United Way Mumbai’s Community Relations team responsible for mapping the development sector, liaising with our NGO partners, building capacities and identifying high impact projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Sector mapping

  • To study and map the development sector, identify and highlight best practices and synergies with UWM mandates
  • To develop and maintain a pan India database of prospective partners and projects across multiple thematic areas
  • To ensure thorough due diligence of prospective partners and guide them through registration and onboarding process

B. Relationship Building

  • To be the interface and first point of contact for NGOs partnering with / interested in partnering with United Way Mumbai.
  • To develop and maintain relationships with NGO partners.

C. Project Development & Monitoring

  • To liaise with NGOs for project identification, design and proposal development
  • To visit partner organizations (only after Covid restrictions are eased), review programmes, deliverables and impact
  • To identify areas of need and support capacity building efforts for NGO partners

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates with a Masters in Social Work / Development Studies / Social Sciences would be preferred
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi (spoken) and in English (written)
  • High level of attention to detail is a key skill required for this role.

4. Deputy Manager – Livelihood Projects

Job Title: Deputy Manager, Livelihood Projects
Reporting to: Manager, Community Investment

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manageactivities, deliverables of United Way Mumbai’s livelihood related projects
  • Create a specific plan for the execution of projects on weekly basis in alignment with the overall project timelines
  • Identify sector expert organizations/ agencies and firm up partnerships with relevant stakeholders (from government, private agencies, NGOs, etc.) for execution of the project components
  • Manage the project team in terms of division of responsibilities, development and monitoring of their Key Result/ Performance Areas
  • Liaise, communicate, interact effectively and manage partnerships with the internal and external stakeholders of the project such as; Government agencies, private Players (various expert agencies working on the project), civil society groups (NGOs, citizens groups, etc.)
  • Develop/ possess detailed knowledge on the project causes and be able to guide the project team and give inputs to all the project partners
  • Document the project activities and outcomes on regular basis and submit the project status reports to the donor as per the committed timelines
  • Financial reconciliation and reporting of the project activities

Expected Credentials:

  • Masters’ degree in Social Sciences/ Management (specialization in livelihood will be preferred)
  • Minimum of five years of work experience- especially in project design, on-ground implementation of the project, etc. Any background or experience of working in the field of livelihood will be preferred.
  • A dynamic and versatile person who can easily connect and effectively work with internal and external stakeholders of the project
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and presentation skills
  • Efficient in community outreach and mobilization
  • Must be efficient in communicating in English and Hindi and efficiency in Marathi will be an added advantage.
  • Candidate must be a team player and should be willing to travel for implementing program activities

5. Program Coordinator

Desired Experience: 3 years (minimum)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and coordinating the program.
  • Engage with local communities by understanding their needs and developing an intervention strategy for community welfare.
  • Leading a team of Non Formal Educators across 5 schools
  • Conduct health care interventions in local communities based on community needs
  • Organize events like sports competitions and summer camps for students in partnership with the Corporate Social Responsibility partner.
  • Monitor infrastructure interventions. This also includes conducting vendor due diligence, evaluating vendor quotations and ensuring quality work is delivered.
  • Regular monitoring and evaluation of projects. This includes:
    .Recording beneficiary case studies
    .Reporting weekly updates
    .Documenting activity reports, quarterly reports and annual reports.
    .Ensuring all case files and records strictly comply with policies, regulations and procedures.
  • Liaising between United Way Mumbai, the community and CSR partner organization.
    Retain and nurture existing partners through effective communication, financial transparency, and accountability. Ensure the corporate partner is of the impact of their community investments.
  • Coordinating, planning, and maintaining ongoing projects and analysis for new scope of interventions.
  • Designing and coordination of employee engagement events for the corporate volunteers

Academic Qualifications:

  • Graduate, preferably from social sciences background.

Position: Executive, Campaigns – Corporate and Employee Fundraising

Reports to: Manager, Campaigns

Job Overview

The position is a part of the team responsible for ideating, managing and executing various campaigns and event partnership at United Way Mumbai. The predominant campaign is the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM). TMM is India’s biggest philanthropic sporting event, annually raising more than INR 46 crores for nearly 300 NGOs with numerous corporate partners and individuals supporting them. As the official philanthropy partner of the TMM we serve as the philanthropic exchange connecting donors to NGOs by creating and implementing an organized and structured charity platform.

In your role as an executive in the campaigns team, you will be developing relationships with new and existing Corporates enabling them to raise funds for the NGOs partnering with UWM. You will be required to build rapport with them, create a constant engagement and help them deepen their philanthropic involvement.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth, end to end knowledge of the Philanthropy Structure of the TMM and constantly strive to improve it
  • Understanding how employee engagement works at UWM and develop strategies to get corporate to sign up for the TMM
  • Create and execute a communication plan to onboard past employee fundraisers at the TMM
  • Research, ideate and incorporate best practices for onboarding new fundraisers and involving young individuals to raise funds
  • Manage the end to end individual fund cycle – raising, receiving, accounting, reconciling, disbursing and reporting
  • Develop and maintain an excellent business relationship with the corporate point of contacts and help them with problem solving any issues that they may face in their campaign.
  • Contribute to all activities of the campaigns team including working on new event collaborations

Job Description:

  • Efficient implementation of public and community health interventions
  • Stakeholder management for efficient implementation of project activities especially with relevant government authorities for public health issues
  • Monitoring and evaluation visits to the partners where project activities have been conducted
  • Document the project activities and outcomes on regular basis and submit the project status reports to the donor as per the committed timelines
  • Due diligence and capacity building of partners for implementation of project activities

Job Overview

The position is a part of the team responsible for ideating, managing and executing various campaigns and event partnership at United Way Mumbai. The predominant campaign that the team manages is the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM). TMM is India’s biggest philanthropic sporting event, annually raising more than INR 46 crores for nearly 300 NGOs with numerous corporate partners and individuals supporting them. From time to time, the team also works on additional event partnerships and manages platforms that enable fundraising for partner NGOs.

In your role as an Assistant / Deputy Manager in the campaigns team, you will be leading the Monthly Giving platform enabling the partner NGOs to receive monetary support through users. The key metric for success would be to acquire new users and convert existing donors to pledge their funding on more continues basis.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop an in-depth, end to end knowledge of the Monthly Giving platform and constantly strive to improve it. It will include research, on competing platforms both in India as well internationally
  • Develop and understanding digital marketing and develop strategies to boost new users signups for MG
  • Create and execute a communication plan including but not limited to social media promotions and email campaigns to onboard existing fundraisers and donors to sign up for MG
  • Manage the end to end individual fund cycle – raising, receiving, accounting, reconciling, disbursing and reporting
  • Contribute to all activities of the campaigns team including working on other event collaborations
  • Research, recommend and incorporate best practices to improve team efficiency
  • Be the conduit between the NGO relations team within the campaigns team and

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree with a focus on humanities, marketing, communication or business administration preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of overall experience in the partnerships or fundraising team at an NGO or a crowdfunding site is required. Additional digital marketing experience will be highly valued.
