Child in Need Institute (CINI) Indian non-governmental organization (NGO) Child in Need Institute (CINI) is regarded as one of the most significant organizations working for communities in India for nearly five decades. CINI’s goal is to make communities and duty-bearers attentive to the needs of children and adolescents so that they can realize their rights to health, nutrition, education, protection, and participation. To increase the capacity of underprivileged communities, to enhance their health, nutrition, education, and protection-related outcomes, it has partnered with the national, state, and local governments, national and international funders, non-governmental organizations, and local communities.

IMMEDIATE VACANCY
Project Background: In Madhya Pradesh, a programme named “Building Adolescents’ understanding of self and the world around them through a gender lens” is being implemented in the district of Rajgarh by Girl Rising. The project’s goal is to build adolescents’ socioemotional learning skills and encourage them to challenge gender stereotypes and norms through a holistic model which engages schools, parents/community members, and government departments. The proposed program revolves around creating a holistic approach to advance gender equity and adolescent empowerment, especially girls, through a multifaceted curriculum. The project will also engage with all key stakeholders in the region including parents, teachers, adolescents as well as local government stakeholders.

Location: Madhya Pradesh, Rajgarh
Number of openings: 1
CTC: 50,000 per month (Consolidated, Non-negotiable)

Educational Qualification
Masters in Social Work /Social Science/Rural Development/ Public Health/ Post Graduate or any relevant discipline from any recognized University/Institute.

Work experience

  • Candidate should possess experience of working on adolescent health and Wellbeing issue for at least 3- 5 years.
  • Should have good understanding for at least 3- 5 years on different gender issues related to adolescent phase.
  • Experience of managing any gender-based programme
  • Capacity to communicate a variety of issues affecting adolescents and young people and other stakeholders, such as members of the government and civil society organizations.
  • Experience of working with school students and liaising with different Government Departments.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Programme Implementation

  • Overall planning and management of the programme at Rajgarh.
  • Regularly assess and keep an oversight on the program’s interventions
  • Co-ordinate with CINI and Girl Rising office for smooth functioning of the programme
  • Supervise and support District Coordinators, Block coordinators, and Supervisors of the programme to ensure quality services
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, parents, and local communities to ensure the program’s acceptance and effectiveness
  • Monitor the progress of the program, collecting data on its impact and outcomes
  • Manage the program’s budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
  • Regular field visit to be conducted at different blocks of the districts

2. Capacity building of team

  • Provide hands-on assistance and collaborate with the entire team.
  • Provide employees with effective mentoring so that they can improve their abilities and skills.
  • Provide support to module-based training to staff, teachers and students
  • Set up regular team meetings to review the progress of the programme.
  • Engage with coordinators and understand their challenges and address the same in co-ordination with Girl Rising and CINI
  • Coordinate with the school authorities, stakeholders and students to conduct the session.
  • Motivation, dedication, and ownership for the tasks assigned.

3. Coordination with government and key stakeholders

  • Close coordination with Girl Rising and CINI HO for smooth implementation of the programme
  • Engage in communication with Government Departments and other stakeholders to raise awareness in co-ordination with Girl Rising and CINI
  • Participate actively in departmental health and education meetings at the state and district levels in co-ordination with Girl Rising and CINI
  • Regular coordination with the Department

4. Documentation and reporting

  • Preparation of periodic progress reports to be shared with Girl Rising, and CINI.
  • Capture and document successful practices, lessons learned, and case studies to share knowledge and improve future initiatives.
  • Create platforms for sharing knowledge within the organization and with external stakeholders to enhance the overall impact on gender issues in education
  • Prepare annual plans and mandatory reports for the project.
  • Maintaining of regular MIS for detailed monitoring of the programme
  • Undertake basic financial functions in co-ordination with the finance officials of CINI
  • Any additional work assigned.

Ability to mentor team members and provide quality support. Leadership and management skills. Research and documentation expertise. Good written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English. The capacity to accomplish objectives and adhere to deadlines in a hectic environment. The capacity to come up with innovative solutions for issues that crop up during programme implementation.
