The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) is a premier, national level Institute for Postgraduate, Doctoral and Mid-career/in-service education, research, and consulting in rural management. Founded in 1979, IRMA’s mission is to promote sustainable Rural Development through professional management.

IRMA requires two Research Associates for the project entitled “Formulation of state policy for Effective energy efficient pricing and effective water pricing for sustainable use of ground water in Gujarat”.

Role Description:
Research Associates will conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with diverse stakeholders, conduct detailed case studies on groundwater usage and economics, and analyze secondary data from agricultural, water, and energy departments in Gujarat.

Selection Criteria:

• Minimum Master’s degree with first class in Water Resources, Energy Studies, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Management, Agribusiness, Rural Development, or related fields.
• Proficiency in conducting FGDs, case research and other qualitative research methods.
• Familiarity with computer applications including spreadsheets, econometrics, and qualitative analysis software.
• Strong communication skills in English and Gujarati, both written and oral.
• Preference for candidates with relevant work or research experience in think tanks, research institutes, or academic institutions.
• The selected candidate should be able to join at short notice.

Age:
The Applicants age should preferably be under 40 years of age.

Nature of Appointment:
Three-month contract position.

Remuneration:
The consolidated remuneration will be in the range of Rs. 40,000/- to 50,000/- per month, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and fit with the position.
