Northeast Centre for Equity Action on Integrated Development (NEAID) is a not-for-profit, apolitical grassroots organization led by people from the region to support development initiatives in tribal and rural areas of Northeastern India focusing on Quality Education, Health, and its determinants. NEAID’s interventions are aligned with sustainable development goals (SDGs) and designed in such a way that its programs complement the existing public system.

REACH India Collective is a group of 16 education-based organizations working in remote geographies across 12 states in India with the goal of building collective voice and representation, as well as an ecosystem to support each other. The Collective has organizations working in remote, rural and aspirational districts of states like Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
Akikaran REACH Fellowship Through this Fellowship, we are addressing critical challenges faced by marginalized communities in remote regions of India. We envision a social change where marginalized communities in remote regions of India have equitable access to quality education, gender equity, social inclusion and mental well-being.

1.Fellowship Associate Director
Position Summary
The Fellowship Associate Director is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the Akikaran REACH Fellowship. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and a deep understanding of leadership development, organizational development, program design and development and research methodologies along with a strong conviction in the power of collaborative action and building leadership.

Responsibilities
- Oversee the recruitment, selection, and onboarding of Fellows for the program.
- Design and develop the Fellowship program, including its structure, objectives, and deliverables, in alignment with the collective’s goals.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with host organizations to facilitate the placement and integration of Fellows.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training and development programs for Fellows, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of Fellows, providing guidance, support, and feedback as needed.
- Collaborate with host organizations to identify organizational development and research needs, and ensure Fellows are effectively addressing these areas.
- Ensure the effective implementation of Fellowship projects, addressing challenges and facilitating problem-solving as required.
- Manage the Fellowship program budget, ensuring optimal resource utilization and financial accountability.
- Prepare and present regular reports on the Fellowship program’s progress, impact, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- 8-9 years of experience in program management, capacity building, or similar roles in the development sector.
- Prior exposure towards working in remote geographies will be an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of organization development, research methodologies, collaborative projects and implementation strategies.
- Proven track record in curriculum development, training, and mentorship programs.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement continuous improvements.
- Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and a commitment to measuring impact and effectiveness.
- Experience in establishing strategic partnerships and collaborations.

- Conduct field research within host organizations, employing various qualitative and quantitative methods to assess the Fellowship program’s implementation and outcomes.
- Gather data through observations, interviews, focus group discussions, and other techniques to understand the experiences and perspectives of Fellows.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate statistical and analytical methods to evaluate the Fellowship program’s strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Based on research findings, develop recommendations and strategies to enhance the Fellowship program’s design, implementation, and overall effectiveness.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and other deliverables to communicate research findings, recommendations, and best practices related to the Fellowship program.
- Convert research findings into public knowledge goods, such as case studies, analysis reports, and academic publications, to contribute to the broader discourse on fellowship programs and capacity-building initiatives.
- Collaborate with the PMU team to disseminate research findings and knowledge products to relevant stakeholders, policymakers, and the broader educational community.
