GIS Officer/Sr. GIS Officer : Vasudha Foundation 

Vasudha Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation working in the clean energy and climate policy space. Vasudha Foundation has an FCRA registration with the FCRA Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs and has 12A and 80G registration under the Income Tax Act. Vasudha Foundation works on multiple projects, funded by various philanthropic organisations.

Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for an GIS officer/ Sr. GIS officer with an experience and exposure to Intermediate to advance GIS concepts and analytic skills to undertake following tasks with GIS team, such as: –

Key Skills

• Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, QGIS etc. and able to produce properly annotated and compiled maps.
• Experience of working in MSS and SAR satellite data sets and GPS data collection.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as ArcPy, R or Python and Google Earth Engine.
• Good understanding of open-source Web-GIS tools, i.e. Geo Server, Map server and OGC web services.
• Proficiency with MS office tools especially MS Excel and knowledge of opensource database tools i.e. Post GIS etc.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.

Qualification & Experience:

Postgraduate in GIS/ Geoinformatics/ Geography or related discipline with a professional/research experience of 3-5 years of GIS application preferably in climate and energy sector.
