Key Deliverables
- Conduct ESG Audits: Perform detailed audits of our business practices across the company & businesses, ensuring alignment with ESG standards as per the IA Plan as per the prescribed regulations by relevant regulatory authorities (SGX, CMA etc.)
- Understanding of the relevant ESG reporting metrices (GRI, TCFD etc.) and internal review of reported metrices along with the specific KPI targets to provide internal assurance for Annual Report or as a part of specific ESG Audits.
- Recommending corrective actions to identified audit observations to improve our ESG performance.
- Review climate adaptation and mitigation strategy for the Company with multiple internal stakeholders and subject matter experts from TCFD reporting purposes.
- Risk Assessment and Management: Identify, assess, and propose solutions for ESG-related risks.
- Independent Review (as L3) of ESG Controls validations performed by L1 & L2 as a part of Integrated Risk & Assurance Framework of the company.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze ESG data, preparing reports that accurately reflect our performance and areas for improvement for ESG Reviews.
- Understanding of relevant ESG regulations and standards and using those for ESG Audit Reviews.
- Report writing as per the Olam IA Manual & expected standards; ensuring maintenance of proper documentation (working papers) as a part of audit project and updating the TeamMate (system used for recording reports, workpapers, performance of key steps as per SOP/Internal Checklist)
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with various senior stakeholders (HoDs), including management, employees, and external partners.
Requirements
- Strong passion for sustainability and keen to make an impact on ground in the agriculture sector along with finance acumen.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, accountancy, social sciences, environmental sciences, engineering, economics or communications. Master’s in environmental sciences beneficial.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in sustainability services at a consulting firm or in-house sustainability management especially in the agriculture and food industry. Experience in Big 4 in related field will be of added advantage.
- Well-versed in relevant sustainability guidelines and frameworks (e.g. SASB, GRI, TCFD, CDP etc.) and related software.
- Working knowledge of GHG Protocol and Verified Carbon Standard.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage projects end-to-end in collaboration with multiple teams. Working
