Zooming in on Answering the Call to Action from a country perspective: Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia: Role of Policy and Ecosystem: Governments, especially Ministries of agriculture, irrigation, energy, and climate change need to align their objectives to ensure the right policies are in place to effectively curb emissions and as well as lay a strong foundation for climate-resilient sustainable Agricultural practices. From the recently released Call to Action, it is evident that the role of integrating renewable energy into the food system is important. Considering the growing market demand for the Productive use of Renewable Energy Applications in countries like Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia, this webinar will bring together key representatives from the governments of these countries to shed light on the policy initiatives, and successes, from the ground.

In light of COP 28, our webinar focuses on expanding global renewable energy through effective policy, regulation, finance, and global collaboration. We’ll delve into how these strategies can transform East Africa’s agricultural sector, and you will hear from top policymakers from Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia as they discuss policy and investment strategies for sustainable food systems and climate impact reduction.

Representing more than 80% of global farmers and producing nearly a third of the world’s food, smallholder farmers are vital to global food systems but they are being heavily impacted by climate change. Our webinar will shed light on and facilitate a discussion on urgent actions required to tackle the food-climate crisis.
