Job Description: Principal/Head of School
Location: Kotputli, Rajasthan, India

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic and Administrative Leadership:

  • Serve as the Principal/head of the school, providing overall leadership in academic and administrative functions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to state board/CBSE Affiliation and Examination Byelaws, following SCERT/NCERT directives.

2. Financial Management and Records Keeping:

  • Manage school accounts, records, and teachers’ service books in compliance with Society/Board requirements.
  • Conduct annual physical verification of school property and maintain precise stock registers.
  • Ensure proper utilization of the Pupils Fund.

3. Infrastructure and Facilities Management:

  • Ensure the availability of essential facilities, including clean drinking water, for students.
  • Oversee the maintenance of school buildings, fixtures, furniture, office equipment, lavatories, playgrounds, and other school properties.

4. Staff Supervision and Coordination:

  • Supervise, guide, and manage teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Handle admission processes, create the school timetable, allocate duties, and manage teaching loads.
  • Organize school examinations in compliance with government and board instructions.

5. Academic Planning and Staff Development:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan the annual academic curriculum.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings to assess progress and review work.
  • Support and encourage teachers’ professional growth through in-service education.

6. Teaching Quality and Innovation:

  • Supervise classroom teaching to ensure high teaching quality.
  • Promote pedagogical and educational innovations.
  • Foster cooperation among teachers within the same subject areas and across subjects.

7. Student Welfare and Health:

  • Promote students’ physical well-being, cleanliness, and health habits.
  • Organize periodic medical examinations for students and communicate medical reports to parents or guardians.

8. Examination and Ancillary Duties:

  • Accept duties assigned by the Board related to examinations, answer script evaluation, result processing, and other related activities.
  • Act as a Centre Superintendent when appointed by the Board and uphold all associated responsibilities without delegation.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in education or a related field; a Ph.D. in Education is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of educational leadership experience with a successful track record in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of CBSE/RSCERT regulations, educational best practices, and curriculum development.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in school management software and tools.
  • In-depth understanding of educational and staff management.
  • A commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive, and innovative learning environment.
