ThoughtWorks is a global software consultancy solving complex problems with technology. Founded over 25 years ago, we’ve grown from a small team in Chicago to a leading global organization of thousands of ThoughtWorkers. Our purpose has always been to create an extraordinary impact on the world through our culture and technology excellence.

As technologists, we have a key role to play in how technology should benefit all of society. We seek to amplify, through our commitment, financial and non-financial resources, the work of partners at the forefront of social movements through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

In partnership with LetsEndorse, ThoughtWorks is looking to support high-impact interventions that align with our key focus areas, sectoral expertise, and lead to amplifying social change. We are committed to playing our part in accomplishing the following UN Sustainable Development Goals and aim to support several aligning initiatives, while actively pursuing and endorsing community improvement efforts in varying capacities, across India.

WE AIM TO SOLVE FOR

– Foster financial inclusion and making access to basics more inclusive for the relegated sections of the society
– Promote overall health and well-being for the vulnerable while ensuring access to information and services for NCDs, sexual and reproductive health, and other subjects of public health relevance
– Support Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) to improve health outcomes
– Promote economic and social inclusion of people from the LGBTQIA+ community through meaningful interventions
– Support programs for empowerment and livelihoods of women, sex-workers, LGBTQ (gender minorities) and PWDs
– Enhance the use of enabling technology (particularly ICT) for girls, women, bright youth from low-income groups
– Enhance full and effective participation and equal opportunities for all genders at all levels of decision-making and work
– Increase access to ICT, internet and education to vulnerable communities from low-income groups and digitally poor across our office locations
– Boost innovation and research towards the technological needs of society

OUR GOAL IS TO DRIVE INTERVENTIONS WHICH

1. Align strongly with one or more of our focal goals (as mentioned above)
2. Empower communities that are at the critical juncture or cusp of change and need the much needed push to change their lives forever
3. Promise measurable impact, tangible outcomes and have the potential of becoming sustainable over a period of time
4. Keep ethics, data privacy and open-source ideologies at the core of their model
5. Foster social and economic justice in different ways possible
6. Provide technology access to the underserved sections of the society

We only accept proposals from registered non-profits based in India which are at least 3 years old, with CSR 1 Registration and an established track record of projects aligned with one or more of the following above mentioned UN SDGs. Our offices are located in Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune and we would prefer projects in and around these regions. However, we are open to compelling proposals from outside these regions too.
