About: Dr B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence (ASoSE)

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence are choice-based schools for grades 9 to 12 that allow students to specialise in their chosen fields of study. The Government of NCT of Delhi has established Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence in order to cater to students who have a demonstrated interest and aptitude in specific domains. These schools aim to nurture students for all-round development and, at the same time, set them up in their chosen area of specialisation. Students in Ambedkar SOSEs receive targeted preparation for higher education pathways and career opportunities through world class infrastructure and top teachers to transact new- age curriculum and assessment in the specialised domains. These operate in the following domains:

• Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)

• High-end 21st Century Skills
• Armed Forces Preparatory school

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Program Lead to oversee and manage the implementation of the Schools of Specialised Excellence project in New Delhi. The Program Lead will be responsible for stakeholder management, collaboration with knowledge partners, strategic planning, and ensuring the successful execution of the project. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of specialised education in Government schools of Delhi.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Leadership and Management:

• Lead the overall planning, execution, and monitoring of the Schools of Specialised Excellence project, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, community organizations, and parents.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, ensuring project outcomes are aligned with their requirements.

Knowledge Partner Collaboration:

• Identify and engage with knowledge partners, educational experts, and industry leaders to enhance the specialized curriculum and learning experiences of the Schools of Specialised Excellence.
• Collaborate with knowledge partners to integrate the latest educational trends, research, and methodologies into the project’s framework.

Strategic Planning:

• Contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans for the Schools of Specialised Excellence, aligning project objectives with broader educational and societal goals.
• Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and monitor progress against these indicators.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting project achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Manage a diverse team of 6-8 professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting their professional growth and development.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 6-8 years of work experience in consulting/government/education sectors
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), experience in documentation, writing reports, proposals, and presentation skills
• Strong experience of managing teams is necessary.
• Analytically strong, with an ability to understand, work with, and draw insights from data; familiarity with data analysis tools
• Ability to coordinate between and build relationships with various stakeholders within the government and with partner organisations
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment, and maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate multiple simultaneous projects
• Strong project management skills – prioritisation, setting goals, assessing progress and course-correction
• Demonstrated commitment to social impact/prior experience working in the social sector
• Innovative thinker with a strong interest in developing new ideas and championing those initiatives with senior stakeholders

Salary: 12+ Lakhs per annum
