Pilani Atmanirbhar Resource Centre (PARC) is managed by BITSAA Alumni Trust, set up in 2005 by a group of alumni of BITS Pilani, for the purpose of furthering their common desire of “Giving Back to BITS”, more specifically to promote Local Area Community Development in and around Pilani, Rajasthan for bringing about a social transformation with emphasis on the lesser privileged members of the society.

PARC is a non-profit platform that enables Alumni, Students and Staff of Institutions to engage with and bring transformational change to nearby communities. PARC is headed by Director, PARC stationed in Pilani.

Job Purpose:

PARC is involved in several community different development programs of types that run in Pilani under its banner. In all these programs, PARC collaborates with different organizations for providing different services in the areas of education, livelihood, health, geriatric care, vocational training and so on. PARC also collaborates with donors who provide CSR funding of various programs that are aligned with their objectives.

PARC requires a Program Manager whose main responsibility will be field work, remaining totally engaged with the stakeholders of different programs, the implementation agency, the corporate entity who funds the programs out of their CSR budgets, as well as beneficiaries. This includes regular periodic visits, taking notes of matters that attention, advise Director PARC, to whom the incumbent shall report to Director, PARC.

The Program Manager shall also be responsible for recording and communicating all the activities to the various stakeholders in respect of community development projects that are run in Pilani under PARC’s umbrella. He/she will be further responsible for measurement of impact of all programs. The person shall also be the visible face of PARC Pilani and interact with all external stakeholders under guidance of Director, PARC.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • The person should be at least a graduate from a recognised university.
  • The person should have minimum working experience of 5 years in a credible social sector organisation in the role of a field executive for different programs that run for the EWS by his or her employer in rural areas.
  • The person should have a thorough first-hand knowledge and experience of the intricacies of various welfare programs in general like education, health, skill development et al and what they involve, the roles and responsibilities of the implementing partners, as well as reporting requirements at periodic intervals.
  • The person should have good communication abilities in both Hindi and English, written as well as spoken skills.
  • The job location shall be Pilani, and office will be in PARC, Pilani.
