Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government development organization. AKRSP(I) works as a catalyst for the betterment of rural communities by providing direct support to local communities. AKRSP(I) is active in over 2500 villages of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It has impacted lives of over 1.5 million people from marginalised sections of society. Over 80% of the households impacted by AKRSP(I)’s work belong to marginalised communities like tribals, dalits, and minorities. Over 60% of beneficiaries are women who form a core group for program interventions.

1. Officer – Digital Communication

Location: Ahmedabad

Education: Bachelor degree in communications, marketing, PR, or related field

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in social media management and communications, preferably in a non-profit or NGO setting

Skills & Competencies required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
  • Familiarity with media relations and pitching stories.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with AKRSPI’s focus area is a plus.
  • Proficiency in different software like Canva, adobe premiere pro, adobe photoshop, Microsoft office, and other illustration software’s is preferred.
  • Willing to travel to the field locations.
  • Fluency in Hindi and English languages.

Job Profile

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to amplify the organization’s message and engage with target audiences.
  • Create engaging content for social media platforms, including writing and editing posts, creating visuals, and scheduling posts.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analyze and report on social media performance, including key metrics and trends.
  • Coordinate media outreach efforts, including pitching stories and arranging interviews.
  • Assist in developing and implementing communication plans and strategies.
  • Support planning and execution of events, campaigns, and other initiatives.
  • Maintain and update the organization’s website and online platforms.
  • Collaborate with other departments for consistent messaging and brand identity.
  • Stay up to date with social media and communication trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Assist with other communication tasks and projects as needed.

2. Programme Specialist (Monitoring and Evaluation)

Location: Dhule (Maharashtra), Pusa (Bihar) And Sendhwa (Madhya Pradesh)

Education: Masters degree in rural management/ development or social studies/ communications/ research or other relevant fields

Experience: 2-4 Years in the development sector, preferably in Monitoring Evaluation

Skills & Competencies required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, Reports and Documentation
  • Data analysis and management
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint, Monitoring and Evaluation.

Job Profile

  • Undertake/oversee Programme monitoring, evaluation, research, documentation, and reporting.
  • Develop case studies, Impact Studies, Outcome studies/research, proposals etc.
  • Operationalization of AKRSP(I) MIS and ensure activity data collection, data quality and data reporting.
  • Monitoring of Project implementation and expected result with respect to the Strategy.
  • Monitor and communicate Project results with different stakeholders.
  • Coordinate external/internal project assessment and visits.ÂÂ
  • Liaison with Government, donors, and other agencies etc.
  • Coordinate and manage internships and studies.
  • Conduct internal monitoring of project activities.
  • MIS/Data analysis and capacity building of the field team.
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to measure Project results.
  • Support in Project implementation with data driven insights.
  • Provide data/report to Head office as per requirement.
  • Represent organization at various levels.
  • Any other work assigned by reporting officer
