Since its inception in 2016, Transforming Rural India Foundation (TRIF) has been deeply focused on an integrated approach to village development to accelerate mobility across all generations. We believe in bringing solutions through multi-sector changes through engaging community-based institutes like Self Help Groups (SHGs), Panchayati Raj Institutes (PRIs) and Front-Line Workers (FLWs) together to closely work with the government.

TRIF works directly with more than one million people in 2000 villages across India’s poorest states and impacts close to over 60 million rural Indians through its formal engagement with governments at different levels.

TRIF is co-designing the foundational pillars of Health System Transformation with State Governments (Multiple departments like Health, WCD and Tribal Welfare etc.), State Rural Health Mission, State Livelihood Missions, District Administrations, Local people, Elected Representatives from Tribal Communities , Panchayati Raj Institutions, Self-Help Groups – Village Organizations -Cluster Level Federations (SHG-VO-CLFs), Civil Society Organizations, Healthcare Start-ups, Private Parties and funders. The aim of the coalition is to shift the power dynamic and empower people to steward the demonstration of healthcare ecosystem transformation to achieve Universal Healthcare Access in Rural India by strengthening and leveraging existing key interventions at Community and Facility Level

PRIMARY ROLE

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
This is a state level position will be responsible for strengthening the public health services for the poorest communities living in the most backward regions of India.

  • Provide strategic support to the NHM leadership, frontline workers, and community leaders
  • Strengthen public health System to accelerate community-based RMNCH+A and NCD interventions and improve public health infrastructure in remote areas
  • Improve the coverage, quality, and effectiveness of public health services for the most deprived communities living the remotest rural areas
  • Establish long-term collaborative partnerships with leading CSOs, government bodies and other agencies

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Targeting, prioritizing and engaging with government stakeholders and partner organizations.
  • Excellent understanding of functioning of key government departments
  • Managing and delivering projects
  • In-depth knowledge of Research, Evaluation, Data Analysis & thematic understanding of various sectors in the social & development domain.
  • Should have excellent understanding/ knowledge of the relevant policy landscape and regulatory environment.
  • Should have excellent understanding/knowledge of quantitative data analysis

LOCATION: Raipur, Chhattisgarh

POSITION: Sr. Manager – Public Health

DURATION: Three Years (subject to renewal based on performance)

QUALIFICATION / WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Masters/ PG diploma in Epidemiology/ Public Health/ Community
  • Medicine/ Health management/Social Sciences/ Management.
  • MBBS/BDS/BAMS/B.SC (Nursing) or any relevant graduation will be preferred.
  • At least 5-6 years in project implementation with specific focus to health system strengthening and community engagement.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with public administration.
  • Candidate having experience of working with state governments and National Level would be preferred.
  • Must be fluent in English and Hindi. Must be willing to stay and travel in rural areas.
