Reach India Trust Reach India started its journey as a training and capacity building organization. Over the years we have developed our core expertise in training and capacity building processes and along with that have developed a comprehensive package of trainings, implementation and technical support. Reach’s core expertise reside in population health subjects including reproductive sexual health, rights, maternal and child health , nutrition, gender education, sanitation and WASH. This core is linked to other thematic areas such as livelihoods, financial education and skill building/vocational skills, as we foresee, to impart knowledge, life skills and also facilitate employment and market linkages for the young women, adolescent girls and youth.

About the Project:

Reach India Trust with support from its corporate partner Tech Mahindra Foundation is currently implementing a program on vocational skill building for unemployed and marginally poor youths. The program known as SMART promotes market appropriate skills for youths mobilised from urban slums, provide 4 months course to them, grooming them for interviews and with support of employers assist them to gain better employability options.

Job Title: Centre Manager

Positions: 2 (Two)

Location – Kolkata

Qualification: The candidate should be post graduate in Human resource management/ MBA/ Social studies/ Personal management and industrial relation etc. and have minimum 2-3 years of experience in Skilling project / social development projects. He or she should have good command over speaking in Bengali, Hindi & English languages. He or she should have good writing skill in English, proficiency in computer with good working knowledge of MS office (including Word, Excel, Power-point) report writing, data entry, compilation. He or she should demonstrate and good communication skills with different stakeholders and also conduct well as a team player. The candidate must have experience in the community mobilization and prior experience of working with Schools.

Job Description:

  • Employee will manage day to day activities of the SMART vocational Training centre in Kolkata, India.
  • Employee will oversee the daily performances of all centre staffs such as community mobilizers, IT’ and English Facilitators, Hardware & Networking, Office Assistant and other staffs, if any.
  • Employee will monitor, verify, recommend and submission of the attendance of all centre staff. A daily performance, monthly and weekly Time sheet, leaves and claims for their monthly remuneration/honorarium through her line manager.
  • Employee will prepare all documentations including candidates’ profile and periodic report writing as per specified format, stringent maintenance of staff attendance in the registers, recommendation of leave application form for all staffs and update leave cards, social mobilization registers,
  • Employee will update all other official documents /records pertaining to the centre as proof of evidences under the compliance to the statutory obligations of Reach India Trust and mandated under Tech
  • Mahindra Foundation grant agreement in suitable formats to be designed in consultation with the finance and administrative terms.
  • Employee will cooperate with the Programme Manager & RIT staffs during periodical review processes and audit by the representatives of the donor or any other officials as may be assigned by the Chief of
  • Operations and Programmes Reach India Trust, Kolkata from time to time.
    Employee will up keep and maintenance of all assets and equipment purchased under the SMART Centre initiative.
  • Employee will make sure that each participants profile is recorded as a part of documentations.
  • Employee will monitor and verify the batch wise analytical report on completion of the entire courses of three months period, prepared by the Instructors separately, compiling with the interest, attendance, sincerity, rate of successes in the weekly/monthly tests, personality growth etc. of each participant.
  • Employee will contact and make effective communication with the local employers for placement of batch wise successful participants in the suitable position in the formal sector of economy.
  • Employee may be assigned other task and activities as per the mission of Reach India Trust and may also be required to make some travels to Reach’s other operational states as and when required.

Core duties and responsibilities:

  • Professionally manage the SMART centre.
  • Monitoring daily activities of the centre.
  • Sole responsibility to strengthen the Smart centre as Reach India Trust’s successful initiative.
  • Provide guidance and supports to staffs in the process of achieving goals of the centre.
  • Submit reports in the specified formats designed by the donor and the Reach India Trust as a mandatory compliance.
  • Make sure of placement and employability of the successful candidates on completion of each batch
  • Cooperation and support during review by the representative of the donor or by a staff to be assigned by the organization from time to time

Report writing and Documentation:

  • Documentation on the activities of the centre as Reach India initiatives.
  • Develop case studies and preparing communications materials as per TMF model.
  • Project documentation for the Tech Mahindra Foundation.
  • Coordinate, implement and documentation of the social mobilization processes with the support of other staffs.
  • Final analytical and qualitative report preparation for the batch wise participants in compiling with the personal traits and development during the course period.
  • Assist in the process of developing proposals for similar initiatives to be submitted to other donors and help in fundraising.

CTC: Up to INR 3 Lakh per Annum. (Depending on Candidate’s experience)
