India Leaders for Social Sector (ILSS) is a non-profit that aims to be India’s preeminent leadership development organisation for the social sector. We aim to increase the effectiveness of the top 500 nonprofits in the sector by 2x to create catalytic impact at scale.

Overview
To achieve the mission, ILSS has a three-pronged approach:

• Bringing corporate talent into leadership and board positions in the social sector
• Running well-researched capacity-building programs in critical domains for the social sector
• Building the social sector ecosystem to instill a strong focus on high-quality talent development

Since 2017, ILSS has run successful programs like:

• The Flagship Leadership Program with 15 editions (in-person and online), designed to enable senior leaders from various sectors to learn about the social sector and become part of it. The program currently has 240+ Alumni, out of which 110+ have already transitioned to the social sector.
• The Board Program for CXOs in the corporate sector to serve as board members for nonprofits in the social sector. The first edition had 18 senior leaders take part.
• The Fundraising Program with over 145 current Alumni who are leaders responsible for resource mobilisation in their respective organisation.
• The People Practices Program which has completed its first pilot online and is gearing up for the second one in person
• The Emerging Women Leaders Program recently launched, and the first edition is underway.

Position Summary
This is one of the key roles within the organisation. It is front facing and requires the candidate to exhibit exceptional people management skills. You will have to counsel, guide and support candidates to better understand their learning needs in order to guide them on the various program offerings at ILSS.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial candidate who will lead the marketing and outreach function for us.

• S/he will oversee the design and execution of the outreach strategies working closely with the Communications and Program teams. It is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated professional passionate about creating an impact in the social sector.

Roles & Responsibilities: As Associate Director/ Senior Program Manager (Outreach & BD), your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Setting ambitious outreach targets, building and executing the corresponding strategies for the ILSS programs.
• Working closely with the communications and PR team to implement the marketing strategy.
• Managing the admissions and onboarding process for the ILSS programs.
• Database maintenance, regular correspondence with all stakeholders, and facilitating the entire intake and application conversations.
• Building institutional partnerships to promote ILSS’s brand and source applications for our programs.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• 6-10 years of experience in Business Development, Relationship Management, Sales and/or Marketing is highly desirable
• Understanding of the social impact landscape is highly desirable
• Understanding of consumer behaviour
• Sales/BD background across sectors, especially B2C sales in education organisations preferred.
• Experience of working with senior leaders from a variety of sectors and industries
• Excellent written, oral communication skills.
• Understanding and experience in digital marketing – LinkedIn campaigns and Google Ads are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce is a must
• Comfortable working with large data sets and analysis for building a strong sales pipeline – creation and regular updation of sales related dashboards.
• The ability to work on designing platforms/software such as Canva, Mailchimp, and Photoshop. is desirable.
• Strong people management and networking skills
• Vital planning and organisational skills – structure and process driven.
• Ability to manage projects independently
• A master’s degree from a reputed university is compulsory.
• MIS management and proficiency with a high volume of data

Selection Process
The shortlisted candidates will be sent a pre-work assignment based on which we will invite them for an interview.

Compensation
Depending on the candidate’s experience, ILSS compensation is at par with Indian philanthropy pay scales.
