Since its inception in 2016, Transforming Rural India Foundation (TRIF) has been deeply focused on an integrated approach to village development to accelerate mobility across all generations. We believe in bringing solutions through multi-sector changes through engaging community-based institutes like Self Help Groups (SHGs), Panchayati Raj Institutes (PRIs) and Front-Line Workers (FLWs) together to closely work with the government. TRIF works directly with more than one million people in 2000 villages across India’s poorest states and impacts close to over 60 million rural Indians through its formal engagement with governments at different levels.
Restoring Land and Prosperity for People, Nature, and Climate in Central India project aims to strengthen the enabling environment for landscape restoration by reducing policy barriers, and supporting the design of incentives to develop markets and value chains for restoration products to spur a self- sustaining and locally led restoration economy in the three geographies of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Transform Rural India Foundation (TRIF) as a core partner in this project would lead implementation in the three identified geographies of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
