Government Partnership Lead – Involve Learning Solutions Foundation

Involve Learning Solutions Foundation Involve was founded by IIT Graduates, Divanshu & Samyak, who left their placements to build their dream. Through Involve, we are re-imagining education by building agency in school students, targeting 1 million students in the next 5 years. We do that by leveraging a peer learning-teaching-based approach. The approach emanates from our belief in “Kids first” and our key design principles: Co-created with students, Led by the students & participation by choice.

So far, we have directly worked with 10500+ students across India, improving their learning outcomes (39% from the baseline to Endline, maths) and the sense of ownership & leadership with our programs. Our core program of Peer Teaching has students in their formative years of age of 12-16 teacher and mentor their juniors in public schools. We have also seen great improvement in the learning culture of the school, teenage behavior, etc. We are backed by some prominent institutions like the Central Square Foundation, Nudge foundation for social entrepreneurship, Wells Fargo, TFIx to name a few.

Overview of the Role:

The person will be responsible for managing the government relations with NCERT in NCERT office on behalf of Involve to ensure potential conversion/buy-in for our program. This will include the following:

Strategist:

Identify ed-related challenges and high-impact initiatives from NCERT that require partnering and/or collaborating with them
Supporting NCERT with one of the critical areas such as Liasoning, Outreach, Implementation & Communication
Manage Government Relations:

Serving as an ambassador of the Involve brand and an advocate for our work and for building students’ agency in our country through active communication

External

• Develop and implement a strategy for strengthening government relationships in NCERT and across all levels within the institution to build trust in our work
• Identify key influencers and decision-makers and invest in their relationships
• Negotiate/work with government officials to figure out a win-win for Involve

Internal

• Ensure all insights are documented, reports are made, communicated, and proactively discussed with Involve
• Identify areas of interest/platforms for the org to improve on its sector presence
• Consistently write about our impact, prototypes and partner success on social media.

You should have:

• 4-5 years of professional experience in working with the centre/state in external-facing roles (e.g. public relations, government relations, consulting)
• Academic/education understanding is a plus
• Strong liaisoning skills to influence others in high authority
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to solve complex situations/problems on the spot
• Written and oral fluency in Hindi
• Clear and structured verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in high-pressure, goal-driven environments
• Experience having collaborated effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups
• Experience in starting new initiatives and taking complete ownership of projects

Location: Delhi (Should be fluent in Hindi, both verbal and reading)

Compensation: INR 7 – 7.5 LPA CTC (Negotiable based on experience & fit)
