VAPCOL BAIF promoted VAPCOL is a Producer Company with membership of 52 FPOs spread over 7 states of India. These farmer associations have membership base of more than 40,000 farmers. The federation works primarily for providing market linkages to agricultural producer of the farmers; it also provides managerial & technical inputs for institutional strengthening of its member producer association. VAPCOL, as an enterprise, actively seeks viable business opportunities in the rural area and provides managerial incubation to those business opportunities to evolve economically sustainable win-win solutions.

Location – Warje, Pune

Job Role:

Overall management and anchoring of FPOs pan BAIF and as Program Manager role for VAPCOL. Managing VAPCOL Pune Branch operations, Business Development administrative and functional matters, marketing communication, etc.

FPO promotion:

I Geography – All India

II Scope of work

Programme development for FPOs
Managing performance of the FPO – Through State Heads/Project Managers

III Vision:

• Database: for all FPOs promoted by BAIF
• Compliance: all regulatory compliances are met – financial & statutory
• Business: beyond operational viability
• Business development: national tie-ups with partners for
• Promotion: SFAC, NABARD, NCDC, NRLM/SRLMs

Credit: Nabkisan, Samunnati, other financiers

Sale: large institutional buyers like ITC, Dehaat, Reliance fresh, Ruchi Soya, TRIFED, eNAM, NeML etc
Warehousing: NCMSL, Arya, Orego etc.

Contract farming: contract production, future trade etc.

V Marketing:

• Create a Marketing Strategy for processed Agri products from community based rural enterprises, to take it to the highest value markets
• Develop and harmonies strong partnerships with the market players – both at local and national levels
• Create and promote a strong brand image for the processed Agri products
• Introduce niche packaging solutions
• Identify opportunities for participating in trade fairs, exhibitions, promotions and all other such business development and brand awareness initiative

Education and Experience:

• At least 7-10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Master’s degree in Agriculture and allied fields or MBA with specialization preferably in Agri Business
• Management from reputed Institute/University Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi

VI Remuneration – 6.5 to 7.5 Lakhs p.a.
