The position holder shall be responsible to adhere & work within the ambit of Plan India’s Child Protection & Gender Equality Policies.

About the Project
Plan India implements Reach Each Child in Gujrat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Project Lead needs to ensure to quality interventions and implementation of program, procurement procedures, financial management, liasoning with stakeholders, reporting and steering the project along with the local partners. Project Lead will be coordinating with partners to achieve successful implementation of project activities in line with PLAN India’s and Donor contractual obligations and standards.

Some of the activities that come under the purview of the role are:

  • Preparing strategy decks for all programmes
  • Ensuring the project achieves targeted impact numbers.
  • Preparing and sharing the monthly and quarterly work plans and making sure team adheres to protocol.
  • Provide strategic guidance to projects on effective implementation.
  • Responsible for the coordination and supporting the implementation teams on field

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and advice to the implementing team on ground to ensure that the project is implemented according to PLAN’s contractual agreements and standards.
  • Project Monitoring for Reach Each Child project (coordination with central and ground team).
  • Regularly monitor timely implementation of the project as well as the management of budget and finances of the project at ground.
  • Ensure submission of monthly overview of expenditure and narrative reports, fortnight reports in a timely manner in cooperation with the implementing teams.
  • Ensure application of rules and procedures for the award of the contacts
  • Assist the teams in procurement in accordance with PLAN India’s Procurement policies
  • Assist the teams in developing adequate monitoring and impact-reporting skills.
  • Organise high level events with project promotional events in the field across 6 states.
  • Excellent liaison with state departments for promotional activities and seeking support from various Government bodies.
  • Tracking work plan of each state and ensuring that the targets are delivered.
  • Assist in enhancing PLAN visibility at national and state levels in accordance with PLAN’s visibility Guidelines and donor requirements.
  • Ensure that a high level of communication is maintained with the PLAN Team centrally and at the field.
  • Provide continuous quality support and feed back to PLAN India on issues pertaining to the implementing teams, the region and other Govt Organizations
  • Extend support to other programs in building program linkages and also on other reporting and financial matters on a regular basis
  • Supervise the project staff and mentor the local partners for progression

General requirements:

  • Ability to undertake field travels

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MBBS or MPH
  • Minimum experience of 5-7 years in relevant field.
