Overview: 
We are looking for Monitoring and Evaluation Expert for the Education Consultancy Project based in Nashik. The objective of the project is to transform the existing 102 Municipal Schools (89 primary and 13 secondary) involving 29,000 Children into Smart Schools in an endeavor to improve the quality of education delivery at schools.

Responsibilities:
This role is a client facing role as well as backend support role and the selected candidate shall be expected to work closely with the client, internal Palladium teams as well as experts onboarded from time to time. The candidate shall be allotted work related to this project or any other project activity in Palladium. The candidate is expected to assist Palladium in driving the project ensuring preparation of quality deliverables as well as assist in day-to-day operations.

  • Assist in structuring the Monitoring and Evaluation framework, KPIs, timelines, schedules for reviews, etc.
  • Review the Project’s Terms of reference, including Logical Framework, and other relevant project documentation and in consultation with the project teams to identify appropriate M&E indicators; select relevant data and design tools; select appropriate methods and sources for data collection; propose possible platforms (excel, word, web-based, etc.) for the Smart School Project
  • Assist the client in preparation of work plans for monitoring the progress and evaluation of impact of the project
  • Develop the project’s Monitoring and Evaluation System including M&E Plan and conduct a baseline assessment
  • Pilot the project M&E system and train the project staff on using it
  • Develop reports clearly describing results of baseline assessment and recommendations for organizing M&E process for the project
  • Manage system of M&E indicators against the project objectives and expected results, plans, maintaining the results data in database, and generating reports to contribute to quarterly and annual reports to the client/donor agencies/CSR partners for education sector
  • Collate, consolidate, and prepare M&E reports ensuring that they are submitted on time
  • Extract lessons learnt, share knowledge, and support the dissemination of good practices, and formulate recommendations to improve overall programme planning
  • Provide quality assurance through the development and implementation of an M&E operations and reporting manual
  • Assistance in bid process activities
  • Preparation of policies, SOPs, guidelines, and other documents
  • Preparation of reports based on inputs gathered (as and when required)
  • Preparation of letters to be submitted to concerned stakeholders
  • Preparation of monthly progress reports and review presentations
  • Any other activities and documents as desired by the department or Palladium

Requirements: 

  • MBA/ PGDBM/ Masters in any field
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience across project management/ performance management /corporate strategy/quantitative & qualitative analysis
  • Experience in monitoring/ evaluation of multiple municipal or government projects in the area of Urban service delivery or infrastructure development, involving coordination with multiple stakeholders such as consultants, contractors, implementing agencies, technicians, government staff, multiple departments, etc.
  • Experience in benchmarking, analyzing, evaluating and reporting progress of projects for Municipal Government
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across teams and organizations
  • Fluency in Marathi, Hindi & English is preferred
