The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956. Since its inception, the Vision of the TISS has been to be an institution of excellence in higher education that continually responds to changing social realities through the development and application of knowledge, towards creating a people-centred, ecologically sustainable and just society that promotes and protects dignity, equality, social justice and human rights for all.
iCALL, TISS invites applications for the 2022-23 youth mental health fellowships supported by Zoom Cares. The applications are invited from young researchers passionate about youth mental health issues and well-networked with young people in India.
iCALL, a field action project of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, is happy to announce it’s PAN India, Youth Mental Health Fellowship (YMHF). iCALL’s YMHF, supported by Zoom Cares, the social impact arm of Zoom, provides an opportunity to young people to study areas related to youth mental health in India, strengthen their research skills, and contribute to the wellbeing of young individuals
The YMHF aims to initiate youth-led research centering young individuals in the endeavors of knowledge creation about their mental health. Given the dearth of Indian research on youth mental health issues, the fellowship will serve to generate new knowledge, which will, in turn, inform the designing of future policies and programmes for young individuals.
