Positions with Placement Cell – Azim Premji University

Azim Premji University was established under the Azim Premji University Act 2010 of the Government of Karnataka. Azim Premji Foundation, the sponsoring body set up the University as a fully philanthropic and not-for-profit entity, with a clear social purpose. The University started in 2011 and since then have admitted over 2000 students.

We invite applications for the roles of Outreach Officer, Information Management Officer and Operations Officer for our Student Placement Cell.

LOCATION Bhopal, Bengaluru

ENGAGEMENT Full-time

The Placement Cell is committed towards providing opportunities for students to be meaningfully engaged in the social sector and contribute to the building of a better society. The placement cell rigorously works towards building career preparedness among students, doing extensive outreach and hosting recruiting organisations on campus.

We are looking for applications for the below positions with the Placement Cell at the University:

Outreach Officer (Bhopal)

• You will be creating, expanding, and managing network of appropriate and potential recruiters including but not limited to not-for-profit / for-profit organisation, CSR, Corporates, Government functions / departments, etc. for all programs of the University
• You will be interfacing through all modes (in-person, online, etc) with organisations to make them part of the placement process
• You will be conducting research and analysis of regional / national data to identify the sectoral trends and to improvise target organisations categories
• You will be devising professional communication material for online digital campaigns and for extensive outreach
• You will be building, maintaining, and analysing Management Information System on the outreach activities
• You will be supporting other functions of Placement Cell as needed

Information Management Officer (Bengaluru)

• You will be preparing and managing the Management Information System for campus placement of all students.
• You will be creating user friendly technology interface applications for students and recruiting organisations
• You will be ideating new technological requirements for expansion and automation of Placement Operations
• You will be managing and running placement website and making it more informative and user friendly.
• You will be carrying out periodical analysis of present and historical data of placement and providing insights / trends as required by the placement stakeholders.
• You will be supporting other functions of Placement Cell as needed Operations Officer (Bengaluru)
• You will be strategizing, developing, and executing annual plans of campus placement process.
• Your will be interacting with students and members of the University for smooth operation of campus placement.
• You will be managing student orientations and preparedness for placements through several group and one-on-one events
• You will be managing end- to- end operations on ground for a successful campus placement process
• You will be supporting students after placement at their respective organisations for smooth transition and handholding
• You will be supporting other functions of Placement Cell as needed.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Development / Social Work / Education / Economics / Public Policy / Sociology / Business Administration or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the function applying for (Outreach / Info Management / Operations)
• Experience of working with youth and / or in social sector preferably in an academic Institution will be an advantage
• Experience in the management of professional social media platforms such as but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Google ads
• Strong relationship management, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills
• Advanced expertise in MS Office and Google Suite
• Open to extensive travel
• High creativity and visualisation ability
• Proficiency in English and Hindi and knowledge of any regional language
