Senior Project Associate – Democracy – Patrika foundation

Patrika foundation is a vertical inside Patrika group working with a vision towards long term systemic solutions in the country by focusing on ‘Developmental communication’. The foundation believes that solutions in today’s world need to be at scale which can be amplified by collaborative efforts of the media, civil society, citizens, politicians and bureaucrats.

Patrika foundation would continue of Patrika’s legacy of carrying campaigns for social change. We believe most solutions would be bottom up; the foundation would carve out a theory of change, use Patrika’s huge media network to amplify, bring related stakeholders on one platform, engage with the citizens and together help carve a better future for the country.

Patrika Foundation is looking for a highly passionate and competent individual for the post of Senior Project Associate – Democracy. The associate will be tasked with our upcoming project that aims to democratize political participation in the country.

Qualifications: The individual should possess-

● Professional and academic background in mass communication, journalism, political science, public policy or related humanities domains from Tier 1 colleges and institutes of eminence

● Outstanding organization skills and attention to detail; proven ability to advance projects with hands-off supervision while being accountable for the accuracy of the output.

● Knowledge about the political scenario in India, with a sharp eye for electoral politics.

● A drive to make political participation accessible for every citizen in India and demonstrating self-initiative

● Proficient in reading, writing & speaking in Hindi, English and excellent MS Office Skills.

● Previous experience of handling on ground events with huge citizen participation.

● Prior experience in working in political consultancy/with political parties will be an added advantage.

● Understanding on production and post production aspects of a TV show or film would be an added advantage

Responsibilities

● Supporting the organization in bringing the assigned project to fruition by leading the project efficiently.

● Helping to foster and maintain relationships with academic, professional and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a smooth roll-out of the project

● Anticipating the different challenges that would come up in the project in the foreseeable future and taking remedial measures.

● Designing the promotional and outreach strategy for the project and map out stakeholders at local/higher levels to ensure adequate publicity for the project

● Handling events on ground having large levels of citizen participation.

● Assisting in designing training modules and executing training for large no of aspirants.
