In the 21st century, demands from school education are rapidly evolving. Teacher education needs to evolve in sync with these changing expectations and Ashvattha Learning Communities aims to be a trailblazer in this field.

We are creating scaffolded and guided field experiences for pre-service teachers, i.e. students and recent graduates of teacher training institutions before they become teachers in the formal education system. These experiences will support young teachers to have a strong professional foundation, build competencies for lifelong learning and find support in peer communities.

We currently have multiple openings for people with diverse experiences in education. Please see below program wise openings.

A. Program: Teacher Incubation

We are hiring team members to build our new program – Teacher Incubation, where young graduates from teacher training institutes will undergo 1 year long, paid field placement in budget private schools; training on technology enabled primary school curriculum and expert as well as peer mentorship. We will also be connecting these teachers to permanent teaching positions after the field placement. We are looking for people who enjoy creating something from scratch and are driven by taking initiative.

1. Program Manager        

Full time | Jaipur | Immediate joining

Compensation 3.6-4.8 lakh per annum; commensurate with experience.

What you’ll get to learn and do:

• Lead design, documentation, monitoring and evaluation of the program
• Cultivate authentic relationships with participants and be a mentor to them
• Build partnerships with budget private schools for field and job placements
• Ensure functional logistics for teachers during their field placement
• Communicate and coordinate with the program participants
• Work with product/design team members to ensure quality delivery
• Onboard and train mentor teachers to support teachers in field placement
• Collect stakeholder feedback and capture teacher experiences/stories
• Build processes for community/alumni support after job placements

2. Program Associate, Partnerships       

Full time | Jaipur | Immediate joining

Compensation 3-4 lakh per annum; commensurate with experience.

What you’ll get to learn and do:

• Build partnerships with budget private schools for field and job placements
• Ensure functional logistics for teachers during their field placement
• Communicate and coordinate with the program participants
• Liaison between ALC team, participants and schools to improve product quality

3. Program Associate, Fellow recruitment

B. Program: Teacher Learning Center

We are hiring team members to grow our program – Teacher Learning Centers, learning spaces set up by Ashvattha, where pre-service teachers create 21st century classrooms for primary school students. In the process student teachers build their teacher-leader competencies. We currently have three operational TLCs, DIET (Goner, Japur), Apni Jagah (Adarsh Nagar, Jaipur) and Khudanpuri (Alwar).

4. Manager, Teacher Learning Center  

Full time | Jaipur | Immediate joining

Compensation 3-4 lakh per annum; commensurate with experience.

What you’ll get to learn and do:

• Lead design, documentation, monitoring and evaluation of the program
• Build healthy stakeholder relationships including with govt. functionaries
• Oversee functional logistics at all teacher learning centers
• Support center coordinators in their capacity building and everyday operations
• Work with product/design team members to ensure quality delivery
• Create and implement an internship support program for govt. school internships
• Collect stakeholder feedback and capture teacher experiences/stories
• Build processes for community/alumni support after job placements

5. Coordinator, Teacher Learning Center      

Full time | Jaipur | Immediate joining

Compensation 1.2-1.8 lakh per annum; commensurate with experience.

What you’ll get to learn and do:

• Create and implement lesson plans for students aged 6-12 years
• Run a student led, technology enabled resource center for the same age group
• Learn effective classroom management and content delivery practices
• Ensure an effective and safe learning culture at the center
• Build authentic and meaningful relationships with all students and their families
• Ensure admin logistics of the center including sourcing TLM from different suppliers
• Support other teacher interns working at or visiting the center
• Support the team in any other day to day tasks as required
