A geography as vastly populated as India has always struggled with a herculean challenge when it comes to healthcare. While significant advances have been made, huge disparities still remain between the urban and rural diaspora, further widened by Covid-19. To improve the state of rural healthcare, there needs to be medium and long-term planning to improve the public health infrastructure. Strategies and approaches need to be designed to strengthen the entire health ecosystem with the help of NGO and Civil society organizations.
