IDFC FIRST Bank CSR plans to engage one human resource as defined in accordance with managing implementation of Shwetdhara and other CSR program in Karnataka and Maharashtra states.
Background- Shwetdhara program
Dairy farming is an important source of income for around 70 million households in rural India. Poorer households including small and marginal farmers prefer dairy farming to other farm-based activities due to its superior cash flows. But low productivity of milch animals continues to be a huge challenge in India. Their complete production potential is not realized due to various reasons related to feeding, breeding, health and management. Poor management & frequent outbreaks of communicable diseases like Foot and Mouth Disease, Black Quarter, Rinderpest, Brucellosis, etc. continue to reduce productivity and production.
In order to look at this issue from a holistic perspective, Shwetdhara Program- A flagship CSR program of IDFC FIRST Bank was launched in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka and expansion of this program is planned in other states too. The program is aimed to cover 600+ villages and 20,000+ households of mentioned states, where all the services like Artificial Insemination, treatment, Feed and fodder services, Medicines supply are overseen by a team of doctors, agriculturists, Livestock Assistants, and Gram Sakhis. For the implementation of the program, 21 Pashu Vikas Kendras are established till date, each of which covers 32 to 40 villages.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all deliverables in the project are delivered on-time, within scope and budget as per the project plan
- Responsible for overall co-creation of implementation and management of the project, which shall include team recruitment, capacity building, planning, implementation of field activities as per work plans and timelines, field monitoring, system design and updates (MIS, M&E, Reporting), submission of reports to IDFC BANK LIMITED-CSR and coordination with all key stakes of the project
- Ensure sustainability of the programme through regular support visits to project villages, technical interventions, periodic organization need-assessment surveys and Stakeholder consultations in every crucial phase of the projects. Monitor and track progress of the project using appropriate tools and techniques
- Conduct periodic review meetings and allocation of work for the project team. Support and coordinate with the project implementation team on a regular basis and ensure timely project deliverables. Establishing direct contact with the Community to capture insights and trends to enable swift, appropriate and innovative solutions to challenges faced by farmers
- Guiding and supporting Agri and enterprise experts and village coordinators for effective delivery of the project activities.
- Manage sound relationships and execution of capacity building plan for funding partners with frequent interactions and appraise progress as per the project plan.
Description of Key performance Indicators/ Results
- Support establishment of Pashu Vikas Kendras units and work towards their financial sustainability
- Products and value chain innovations and improving the role of community women in project catchment
- Increase technology adoptions- extensive capacity building plan for Gram Sakhis and Shwetdhara members
- Service innovation in dairy development
- Breed development and innovations
- Decreasing per day dairy input cost
- Supporting implementing partners for capacity building of mass community groups
- Support institutional building process- Farmer producer company (Program will support these Pashu
- Vikas Kendras unit for two years’ time period post which it is expected with FPO to sustain on its own with any handholding support) marketing and business development planning for FPOs and Pashu Vikas Kendras
- Monitoring of the program implementation, weekly, monthly and yearly reviews with partner organizations by engaging in field visits and meetings. Reporting and documentation of the programs.
- Other assignments given by central CSR team related to other thematic areas and projects
Desired experience and skills
- Post graduate in Management, agriculture, MSW & social sciences or related field from reputed institution and graduate in Agricultural/Horticulture with reliable experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in the development & related sector, preferably in Agriculture, allied and Livelihood domain/ Farmer producer company “FPC” programs.
- Proven experience of establishing FPCs
- Experience of managing compliance requirement for FPCs
- Experience of preparing business plans, project reports, reporting and implementation for FPCs
- Experience of content creation and capacity building programs for FPCs
- Experience of managing dairy development program will be given preference
- The candidate should be able to communicate, read and write in English and Hindi, Marathi, Kannada (any 2) will be given preference
- Personal flexibility and high motivation to impact the team and farmer collectives.
- Good communication and excellent reporting skills in local language and English
- Proficient MS office skills & internet
- Proven ability to manage a project
Travelling requirement: This job involves regular travel within the Project area of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Maharashtra
Salary range- Commensurate with qualifications, experience and present CTC
