Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government development organization. AKRSP(I) works as a catalyst for the betterment of rural communities by providing direct support to local communities. AKRSP(I) is active in over 2400 villages of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It has impacted lives of over 1.5 million people from marginalised sections of society. Over 80% of the households impacted by AKRSP(I)’s work belong to marginalised communities like tribals, dalits, and minorities. Over 60% of beneficiaries are women who form a core group for program interventions.
Job Profile:
- Be responsible for implementing program plans, including on specific themes, and monitor project activities and compliances at the field level
- Ensuring programmatic targets are achieved on time
- Cost effectiveness of works
- Quality work execution and result oriented work execution
- Ensuring community participation in activities
- Ensuring institutional perspective in program
- Ensuring women participation in all activities
- Following the implementation strategies in all activities
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and facilitate training programs and related activities for community and field Para worker.
- Documenting case studies/best practices
- Timely payments to labour and suppliers for respective vertical
- Timely settlement of advances
- Ensuring financial transparency
- Ensuring timely reports and MIS
- Ensure timely settlement of all bill vouchers
- Any other task assigned by AKRSP (I) management.
Skills & Competencies required:
- Strong knowledge of rural development programme
- Good command in Hindi and MS office
- Good field activity organizer and manager
- Should be efficient in using newer technologies.
- Good Government Liaison Skills
- Strong Documentation skill
- Ability to work in a team
Experience: over 3 years of grass root experience in rural development
Education : PG in rural development /MSW or B.Sc/MSc. Agriculture/B.Tech (Agril engineering)
