TNS India Foundation is a section 25, non-profit development organization which has been operational in India since 2012. TNSIF collaborates with private corporations and government bodies to design and implement large-scale, multi-year poverty-alleviation programs in India. Our areas of expertise are agri value chain development, skills development, local economic development and natural resource management, with gender-inclusivity and women’s empowerment as a core focus area across all programs. In order to catalyse economic development, our programs include the following as part of their multi-pronged approach.
Role Description:
This role will assist in the overall implementation and management of the program, including providing oversight of activities, developing work plans, M&E and reporting to the donor on delivery and progress. She/he will continuously support in developing operational efficiencies and innovations in delivery, ensuring that the program meets established objectives and targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identifying and on-boarding enterprises for the program
- Lead a team of Entrepreneurship Development Officers and Business Associates
- Develop project work plans and M&E plans
- Identify team training needs and oversee team capacity development as required, maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure that project objectives, outcomes, and deliverables are met on time and that financial, operational, and reporting requirements of the donor and TNSIF are adhered to
- Guide team to develop effective monitoring and evaluation plans, turn data into actionable insights to guide implementation, and disseminate results and learning
- Develop and share internal and external project performance metrics
- Manage the activities and performance of project staff and consultants, ensuring high-quality execution and delivery of project targets.
- Monitor project expenditures and manage budget variances, realigning as required
Requirements:
- Post Graduate in Business Administration, Rural Management, Social Sciences, Entrepreneurship or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in analytical and strategic roles within the development sector
- Experience in implementing private sector or SME development assistance programs or running their own start-up. Experience in SME development programs, in particular capacity building, access to finance, and market access.
- Experience with entrepreneurship and business incubator/ accelerator programs strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills in a multicultural environment
- Ability to work with deadlines while managing multiple tasks and projects & develop cohesive reports
