Role : Senior/ Leadership in ESG, Business Sustainability

The role of calls for a good understanding of environment, social and governance issues in a business context. We are looking for a person who has a good understanding of the drivers of business value creation – present and emerging. The person is expected to be aware of recent developments on ESG communications, sustainability risks and anchor new programs with a wide set of stakeholders – employees, suppliers, and customers. Our commitment to contribute to planetary net zero emissions scenarios by decarbonizing our own value chain by 2040 requires such capabilities. The ideal candidate would be a person with around 6 to 8 years of solid experience in business sustainability.

Key responsibilities include working closely and coordinating with various functions of the organization – HR, Operations, Legal and Compliance, Procurement, Risk Office, among others in developing and overseeing environmental, social and corporate governance policies.  An interest in aspects of business sustainability and its connections with developmental issues is vital to make a meaningful contribution to the role. The role requires contributing to the development of an ESG strategy for the company by benchmarking with internationally recognised best practices and frameworks like DJSI, CDP, GRI, TCFD, Ecovadis, FTSE4Good, MSCI ESG, WEF Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics among others, execute overall program/change management with functions, anchor non-financial disclosure related work (external and customer) and coordinating improvement areas across functions throughout the year. Outstanding writing skills and an innate ability to curate and write for formal disclosure frameworks like the Annual Integrated Report, GRI report, the DJSI etc. and providing an integrated picture to leadership is critical to the role. The role provides flexibility to explore other areas of environmental and community engagement projects within the group

Relevant Experience:  8 to 12 years of relevant experience in Business Sustainability, ESG
