Job Outline |
The Research Manager position requires significant training and experience in empirical research and management. The Research Manager will be responsible for (i) managing the overall project including data collection, data security, and logistical support, (ii) implementing partner and funder relationships, (iii) supervising the field teams including but not limited to Research Associates, data collection personnel, and work in close collaboration with research staff, and (iv) be responsible for high quality, secure, and ethical data collection. In addition, the Research Manager will interact directly with the project PIs and Co-PIs and will be expected to meet with and present regularly to implementing partners and project donors.
About the project: A randomized control trial funded by The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to study the impact of monitoring methods using digital technologies, such as 99DOTS, MERM and Refill Monitoring on TB treatment. The primary objective is to study how these monitoring methods impact the patient’s adherence and clinical outcomes. The trial will involve implementation of specific interventions, collection of primary data (surveys and interviews) as well as secondary programmatic data, which will then be analyzed to estimate the impact of the interventions. Additionally, qualitative studies will be conducted to understand the behavioral mechanisms driving the impact.
