Job Profile/ Description: The candidate will work on a Government of India-funded project on Bio-oil upgradation and cracking via thermochemical routes. The RA will be required to work in pilot Pyrolysis and High pressure Reactors using bio-oil from biomass, waste and lipids.

The candidate must have 2-3 year of strong research experience in catalyst synthesis and catalytic thermochemical conversion/cracking of bio-oil, handling pilot high pressure reactors.

Educational Qualification:

• PhD in Chemical Engg/Organic chemistry/ Energy Science and Engg/ Petrochemical Engg/Mechanical Engg Or Masters (MTech/ME) in Chemical Engg/ Organic chemistry/Energy
• Science and Technology/ Petrochemical Engg with 2-3 years of Research experience in the area of heterogeneous catalyst, Biofuel (thermochemical route), Pilot plant operation and analysis of products are desirable. Knowledge of Pyrolysis process and gasification techniques is preferred.
• Biotechnology/Biology background is not suited for this position.

Desired experience: From: 2 To: 3 (Years)

Key technical, behavioral and software skills & abilities: Proven research experience in the field of thermo-chemical conversion processes especially biomass catalytic conversion, Co2 valorization, pyrolysis, gasification, hydrothermal conversion, with a significant contribution to R&D programs as an RA with outstanding. Also, very good writing skills in English is an absolute necessity. Need to write technical and policy notes effectively.
